The 3rd annual
viva Mexico Women's Festival

The 3rd Annual Viva Mexico Women’s Festival returned to Mission Marquee Plaza on October 5, 2025, for its biggest celebration yet, bringing together thousands of attendees for an unforgettable day dedicated to honoring the talent, creativity, and leadership of women in Mexican culture and the arts.

Presented by Los Altos Mariachi Arts Council, the festival transformed the historic venue into a vibrant gathering place featuring more than 50 women-owned businesses, artisans, food vendors, community organizations, and performers. Families from across San Antonio and beyond came together to celebrate culture, community, and the powerful impact of women-led artistry.

The day began with an energetic opening performance by Viva Tejana Dance Company, setting the tone for a festival filled with music, dance, and cultural pride. Throughout the afternoon and evening, audiences enjoyed performances by La Guira 512, Ballet Folklórico Sol de San Antonio, Guadalupe Center Accordion Girls, Mariachi de Mi Rancho, Sonora Hechicera, Mariachi Las Alteñas, and Llamativa, each bringing their own unique style and artistry to the stage.

The festival culminated with an electrifying headline performance by The Tiarras, whose genre-blending sound and inspiring message captivated the crowd and served as a fitting finale to a day centered on empowerment, representation, and cultural celebration.

Beyond the stage, festivalgoers explored dozens of women-owned businesses and food vendors, discovering handmade goods, artwork, apparel, jewelry, and culinary favorites. The marketplace provided a valuable platform for local entrepreneurs while creating opportunities for attendees to directly support women-owned businesses within the community.

Throughout the day, the Viva Mexico Women’s Festival showcased the rich diversity of Mexican and Mexican-American cultural traditions while creating space for connection, inspiration, and collaboration. The festival continues to serve as a platform where established and emerging artists can share their talents, where entrepreneurs can grow their businesses, and where community members can celebrate the contributions of women to our cultural landscape.

As the sun set on another successful festival, attendees left with new memories, new connections, and a renewed sense of pride in the strength and creativity of our community. The continued growth of the Viva Mexico Women’s Festival reflects the incredible support of its performers, vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees, all of whom help make this celebration possible.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 3rd Annual Viva Mexico Women’s Festival. We look forward to welcoming you back next year as we continue to celebrate, uplift, and amplify the voices of women through culture, music, entrepreneurship, and community.
